Teams that once moved data between Notion databases and Sheets now face a choice. They can keep the split or test whether one spreadsheet layer can carry more of the load.

The change matters because many knowledge workers built Notion pages around repeated exports from Sheets. Gemini reduces some of those steps.

Gemini inside Sheets handles common data tasks quickly. Users type a request in plain language. The model then creates formulas, pulls external data where allowed, or turns selected rows into summaries.

Google reports that early enterprise testers cut time spent on routine calculations by roughly thirty percent. The number comes from internal notes shared with selected customers (not publicly available).
