Baidu Dazi added browser integration, smart routing and shared memory to its personal version while rolling out a self-media suite, an enterprise edition and a new alliance at Chengdu AI Day, according to Baidu Intelligent Cloud’s announcement.
The company said daily questions handled by the system increased twentyfold within three months of launch. This is a Baidu-reported usage figure, not an independently audited measure. The updates target individual users, content creators and corporate teams.
Baidu also reported that smart routing reduced average task completion time by 20% and improved token utilization by 25%. It did not disclose the test owner, sample size, task mix, baseline, model configuration or statistical methodology, so the figures should be treated as company claims rather than independently verified benchmarks.
Baidu Dazi now lets users initiate browser-controlled tasks inside the app. Its cross-device memory is intended to make prior context available on phones, tablets and desktops without manual transfers, although Baidu has not published independent tests of synchronization reliability.
New skills include “One Mirror” for digital-human video production and “Lingyi” for medical-report explanations. Baidu lists them in the updated skill catalog; any medical output should be treated as informational rather than a substitute for professional diagnosis.
The self-media suite covers topic research, script drafting, image generation and performance review in one workflow. Baidu calls it the industry’s first end-to-end suite for creators, but that positioning has not been independently established.
Enterprise features include shared workspaces, organizational roles and permission management. Baidu’s official enterprise product documentation also describes reusable team assets, usage controls and auditable records. In practice, an administrator could allocate resources while colleagues share skills and generated deliverables without sharing personal accounts.
The Dazi Alliance opened enrollment with China Unicom and Skyworth identified as participating partners in People’s Daily’s report from Chengdu AI Day. Neither partner’s measurable deployment commitments were detailed publicly.
Baidu positions these changes against assistants that require separate tools for content production and teamwork. Whether the packaged approach outperforms point products remains unverified.
At the event, more than 1,000 visitors reportedly attended a public demonstration area, while contestants used Dazi to produce presentations, reports and content plans from assigned prompts. This offered a concrete view of what users could receive - editable slides and draft deliverables - but was a showcase rather than a controlled customer trial.
No named customer study or independent benchmark was released for the routing feature. Users therefore cannot yet assess token savings across different document lengths, languages or competing products.
Creators may gain faster first drafts for short-video scripts, but they still need to check factual accuracy, platform disclosure rules and ownership terms before publication.
Enterprise teams should also examine data handling before uploading sensitive files. Baidu’s privacy policy says authorized document content and operation records may be collected to provide document-processing functions.
The four releases together test whether Baidu can keep users inside one interface from research to publication and team review. Rivals already face similar integration demands.
The reported growth in daily question volume suggests early engagement, but it does not by itself establish retention because Baidu has not disclosed active-user cohorts or repeat-use rates.
Alliance partners will test the program’s reach over the next quarter. Useful measures would include named deployments, active seats, repeat usage and independently documented productivity gains.
Baidu Dazi now bundles capabilities that users may otherwise obtain from several vendors. The next three months will provide a clearer signal only if Baidu publishes comparable retention data, benchmark methodology and named customer results.
