Before I Met remio: Treasure Hunting in the Digital Ruins

Hey friends, I’m the lead designer behind remio 🧑‍🎨👋

After nearly a decade in the industry, I’ve pretty much grown into a full-blown octopus 🐙—design drafts on one hand, code reviews on the other, while juggling slide decks that seem to appear out of thin air.

Most days, I’m bouncing between digging through digital junk piles and chasing fleeting sparks of inspiration:

💡 That brilliant interaction idea? Drowned in a sea of group chat pop-ups.

🎯 A creative gem that got rave reviews in a meeting? Now just an expired file link.

📁 That meticulously written design guideline? Lost somewhere in the eighth folder layer on my desktop.

 🧪 A mind-blowing front-end trick I bookmarked? Wandering in a forest of 30 browser tabs.

At this point, my workflow feels like a house visited by a hyperactive husky—designs live in Figma, assets float in Eagle, meeting notes dart between docs, data gets lost in spreadsheets, and the best ideas nap quietly in my phone’s Notes app.

The Making of a remio Logo: From Knowledge Spores to a Forest of Thought

🌲 Each scattered seed of knowledge stretches out its roots over time, growing into a forest where ideas intertwine like leaves.

Before diving into the logo design, I kept wondering: What should a tool that’s meant to make life easier for people like us look like at first glance?

I imagined remio as a little firefly hovering over your desk, collecting scattered sparks—those half-formed ideas left in WeChat threads, emails, and meeting notes.

It could be your late-night companion, a smart spotlight that unearths that amazing project from last year buried seven folders deep. Or just your always-there desk buddy—quietly tagging and organizing your fragments of inspiration.

We explored countless directions. After plenty of back-and-forth and spirited debate, we landed here:

“The ‘r’ in our logo is a freshly planted sprout. Every pixel is a knowledge spore waiting to break ground. Floating nearby is a hidden spark of inspiration, ready to burst into life. The white canvas beneath? A space for thoughts, notes, sketches—a knowledge base that grows over time.

Let’s stop letting knowledge just... wander off.

In a world where information floats around like dandelion seeds in the wind, remio wants to make a promise:

We’ll help you fish those glowing fragments of insight out of endless scrolling and folder mazes.

Each little idea gets its own labeled glass jar—a Knowledge Card. Watch them sprout tiny green leaves of understanding. Then move them into the Plaza, where they can bask in the sunlight and blossom into fully formed ideas.
