Google NotebookLM Web Access Expands Sources Beyond Uploads

Google added real-time web access to NotebookLM. Users no longer rely only on manual uploads for source material.
The update lets the tool fetch current pages during research sessions. This change addresses a clear limit in the original design.
NotebookLM started as a system for static documents. Teams uploaded PDFs or text files to create audio overviews and summaries. Live web access removes that manual step for many queries.
