An Axios investigation reported that the suspected network included roughly 200 accounts discussing data centers. Axios also noted that X did not answer questions about whether it would remove the wider network.
X reportedly connected the accounts through behavioral and technical signals. These included Chinese-language prompts, requests for English output, and virtual private networks used to mask locations.
Those indicators can support an investigation, but they do not independently identify who directed the accounts. Public reporting has not established a direct command chain between the network and the Chinese government.
The strongest supportable conclusion is narrower. X says it detected coordinated accounts that tried to enter an authentic American policy dispute.

The second signal is ERCOT’s verified project queue. The audit should reveal how much of the headline demand comes from construction-ready facilities.
A steep reduction would show that speculative applications inflated the 474-gigawatt total. A still-enormous verified queue would strengthen Abbott’s argument for urgent controls.
