Zang Shifu PPT and Pencil Combination Tips

Zang Shifu, the AI-powered presentation generator, lets users import generated slides directly into Pencil. The move fixes common layout errors before any final presentation.

Pencil lets one person view every page at once. Editors then correct overlaps, fix alignment, and adjust fonts in the same window. Concrete examples include fixing text boxes that overlap images by 3–5 pixels, nudging misaligned columns back to a 12-column grid, and swapping mismatched Chinese and Latin fonts that AI generators often select; Pencil resolves these by surfacing z-index clashes, enforcing baseline-grid alignment with 0.5 px increments, and applying consistent font-feature settings across all frames in a single pass.

Pencil adds tools that standard PPT files lack, including element nesting that preserves parent-child positioning, object grouping that locks relative spacing, and precise grids that enforce 0.1 mm snapping for pixel-perfect results.

This workflow surfaced after X user 歸藏 (@op7418) verified the process via the AIHOT API - a verification layer that pulls and cross-checks tool workflows from social sources - on 4 July 2026 (source post; see AIHOT API reference). The test confirmed the process cuts manual fixes by half on average.

The method works in two directions. Pencil files export as web pages or editable documents. They also export as PNG images for direct drop into PPT.

Editors gain more control without leaving one program. The extra step keeps AI speed while removing its usual visual errors, such as elements drifting outside safe margins or inconsistent line weights across slides.

Later tests showed the process works best on decks of twenty slides or more. Smaller decks still benefit from the alignment check alone.

Users report fewer font mismatches after group edits. Pencil keeps every change inside one file before export.

The approach avoids repeated copy and paste between tools. One import covers the full slide set.

Some teams now run the same steps on client decks. The extra review pass improves client feedback rates.

Pencil export options keep teams flexible. A file can become a live website or static images without extra converters.

One remaining limit is font license checks before export. Users must verify fonts in Pencil match PPT requirements.
