Initialization

The initialization process for remio involves several steps designed to prepare the application for use. This process is divided into 2 main flows:

  • Required initialization settings, which involve user actions;

  • Large model downloading and usage instructions.

Below are details of the Required initialization settings:

1. Downloading and Installing

You can get remio from remio.ai. Download the installation package, find the installer file, and drag remio's icon to the Applications folder.

2. Registration/Login

When remio is opened, you will be prompted to register or log in if you have not already done so. remio supports multiple account creation and login options, including third-party services like Google, Apple. In the future, email and password login and Facebook SSO will be supported.

3. Browser Extension
  • Installing the Browser Extension: You will be prompted to install the remio Chrome Extension. And you can find the extension through the link.

  • After installation, remio extension will be automatically enabled. You can start to highlight text, add to Collections, and favorite web pages, which remio will automatically start to capture.

  • Starting to use remio: Once a webpage has been captured, it will appear in the 'Unprocessed' section of the app. The user can now begin using remio extension.

4. Onboarding
  • Upon completing the initial setup, the user is given access to the remio workspace, with 4 starting notes:

    • What is remio

    • What is Unprocessed

After the LLM is downloaded and loaded completely, you can get to use all remio features.

Additional Tips
