Pay for remio
This guide will walk you through the entire process of subscribing to a paid plan, from choosing your plan and making a payment to managing your subscription and understanding our policies.
How to Subscribe (Pre-Sale)
You can upgrade to a Pro or BYOK plan from several places.
From Our Website:
Go to the "Pricing" page on the remio website
Choose "Monthly" or "Yearly" billing.
Select your desired plan (e.g., Pro or BYOK) and click "Subscribe Now".
If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to log in or register. Your account will then be linked to the check out page.
From Inside the remio App (Upgrade Triggers): As a Free user, you may be prompted to upgrade when you perform certain actions. Click "Upgrade Now" to subscribe a yearly plan as default which is most cost-effective. Of course you could view all plan & features to select the plan you want.
Credit Limit: When you run out of your monthly AI Credits for features like "Ask remio" or "Summary".
Pro Feature Access: When you try to use a Pro-only feature, such as adding your own custom API key.
Upgrade Banners: You will see "Upgrade Now" banners or prompts within the app, such as in the left sidebar.
Payment & Checkout Process (Mid-Sale)
While clicking "Subscribe Now" & "Upgrade Now," you will be guided through a secure payment process.
Redirect to Stripe: You will be securely redirected to our payment partner, Stripe, to handle the checkout process.
Enter Payment Details: On the Stripe Checkout page, you will enter your payment information such as credit card details
Confirm Subscription: Review the plan details (e.g., remio Pro, Yearly) and confirm your payment.
What Happens After You Pay (Post-Sale)
Once your payment is successfully processed by Stripe, your new plan is activated.
Service Activation: Your remio account will be upgraded to the plan you purchased (Pro or BYOK).
AI Credits Issued: If you subscribed to the Pro plan, your full quota of AI Credits (e.g., 2,000) will be added to your account at every billing period.
Free Trial: If this is your first time subscribing, your 14-day Free Trial will begin.
Pro Trial: You will receive 1,000 AI Credits for the trial period.
BYOK Trial: You will get 14 days to test the features, but no extra credits are issued (as you use your own key).
At the end of the 14-day trial, your paid subscription automatically begins.
Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation email with your order details and payment rules.
How to Manage Your Subscription
You can manage all aspects of your subscription from your account's web portal. You can access this from the user menu in the remio app or on our website.
In the "Plan & Billings" Section
This is your main hub for subscription management. You will see:
Current Plan: Displays your active plan (e.g., "Current Plan: Pro").
Billing Cycle: Shows your next billing date (e.g., "Billed monthly, next billing date 2025/11/24").
Billing History: A list of all your past and current subscriptions with their status (e.g., In Service, Canceled, Completed).
Available Actions:
Apply for Invoice: Get an invoice for a completed payment.
Manage Subscription (Cancel Plan): This allows you to cancel your subscription. See the "Cancellation Policy" below for details.
In the "Credits" Section
This page gives you a detailed look at your AI Credit balance and usage.
Paid Status: Shows your current plan (Free/Pro/BYOK).
Total Credits: The total number of credits issued for your current billing cycle.
Current Credits: The number of credits you have remaining.
Usage Log: A detailed list of every transaction, showing the feature used (e.g., "Ask remio," "Add a summary"), the date, and the amount of credits consumed.
Key Policies: Billing, Refunds & Cancellation
Billing & Credit Policy
Auto-Renewal: All subscriptions are set to auto-renew (e.g., monthly or yearly) to ensure uninterrupted service in remio.
Billing Date: Your subscription cycle starts on the day your first successful payment is made. This becomes your "anchor date" for all future billing and credit refreshes.
Credit Expiry: AI Credits are issued at the start of your billing cycle. Unused credits expire at the end of the billing cycle and do not roll over to the next month.
Payment Failures: If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt to charge your card again. If the payment continues to fail, your subscription may be suspended or canceled.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your "Plan & Billings" page.
When you cancel, your plan will remain active until the end of your current paid billing cycle. It will not auto-renew.
For example, if your plan renews on the 25th and you cancel on the 10th, you will still have access to all paid features until the 25th.
Refund Policy
7-Day Refund: We offer a no-questions-asked full refund during your free trial.
No Pro-rated Refunds: After the 14-day free trial, you can reach out at info@remio.ai for any help. To prevent the misuse of AI Credits, we do not offer pro-rated refunds for the remainder of your billing period.
Non-Refundable Items: One-time purchases, such as future "Credit Packs," are non-refundable.
