Ask remio
Ask remio is the AI-driven chat built into remio, which lets you ask questions in natural language and retrieves AI-generated answers from your notes, collections, captured web content & knowledge from LLM, complete with source citations.

Why it's helpful:
Saves time searching through notes
Gives smart summaries and explanations
Lets you reuse answers as new notes
Accessing Ask
Click "Ask" in the navigation bar for the full-screen chat.
Use the remio Copilot button to open Copilot sidebar. Great for asking questions while viewing a resource or writing a note.
If the Search result does not meet your request, you can also Ask remio in the search box in natural language; it will also lead you to find the answer
Using the Ask page gives you full view of Ask, while the sidebar or global command provides quick, context-aware access (sharing the same chat history in the current version).
Start Asking
Enter questions using natural language.
Press Send button to submit.
remio will start the streaming generation for an answer in real time.
You can stop generation if needed.
Once complete, remio displays the answer in the conversation. Responses may include citations from your knowledge base, marked with numbers. You can hover to see the evidence cards.
Choose Knowledge Scope
When using Ask in Copilot sidebar and it's a note or collection on the left, users can choose knowledge scope remio should search:
Knowledge Base: Entire User Knowledge Base & Knowledge from LLM (as default)
This Note: only talking about the note content, whether it's a Note or Collection on the left
This Collection: when it's a Collection on the left, remio Ask will include all items linked to this Collection
Check Recent Questions
You can hover to Ask in navigation bar and check recent question history. And users can single click 1 question to locate it.
Start a new session
For Version 1.5.0 and Up, you can add a new session to start a new conversation with remio in case the result was mixed up by the previous conversation.
Name the conversation
remio will automatically generate a title for each independent session. You don't need to manually add it.
